The NRA Basic Pistol Course 2 (Range), is the Range Day portion of the NRA Basic Pistol Course. You must complete the NRA Basic Pistol Course 1 (On-Line), course prior to registering for this class.
The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Courses 1 and 2 are a two-part course that teach the basics of safe pistol ownership and use. Course 1 can be found (here) on our pay-wall and is the on-line classroom portion of this two-part course. Course 2 (this class) is the in-person range day portion of this two-part course.
You’ll learn safety and range rules, types of pistols, ammunition, shooting basics, basic care, and recommended additional training. The course usually includes an online learning part and an in-person class with live fire led by a certified instructor. After completing the course, you receive an NRA certificate.
