The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Courses 1 and 2 are a two-part course that teach the basics of safe pistol ownership and use. Course 1 is a 4-Hour on-line, Instructor led class; Course 2 (this class), is the in-person 4-Hour one-on-one Instructor range day portion of this two-part course.
This 4-hour class is designed for pistol shooters transitioning from iron sights to a slide-mounted red dot sight (RDS). Red dot optics offer faster target acquisition and improved accuracy by eliminating the need to align traditional front and rear iron sights.
This 4-hour class teaches how to safely use a handgun with a holster. Most negligent discharges with pistols occur when drawing or re-holstering the firearm. In this class you will learn about different types of holsters and how to choose the right one. We then teach how to safely draw your firearm, aim at the target, fire and place it back in the holster.

A full refund is available if you cancel 14 days or more before the class date. Cancellations made between 2 to 13 days before the class will receive a credit toward a future class. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class, or failure to attend without notice, will not receive a refund or credit.
