Who This Class is For

  • New Shooters and Firearms Owners

  • This Class is the Online portion of the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course 1 and is a prerequisite for Course 2.

  • The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course 2 is the 4-hour range and live fire portion of this two-part class

What You’ll Learn

You’ll learn safety and range rules, types of pistols, ammunition, shooting basics, basic care, and recommended additional training. The course usually includes an online learning part (This Class), and an in-person 4-Hour class with live fire led by a certified instructor (Course 2). After completing the two-part course, you receive an NRA certificate.

Prerequisites for this Class

  • No previous experience is required for the NRA Basic Pistol Course 1 and 2

  • This course is recommended prior to taking other HGP Training Solutions, pistol courses.
